Kazakhstan – Meeting between Olivier Becht and Erzhan Kazykhan, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for External Affairs, and Alibek Kuantyrov, Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan (October 3, 2023)

Today Olivier Becht, Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade, Economic Attractiveness and French Nationals Abroad, attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, welcomed Erzhan Kazykhan, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for External Affairs, and Alibek Kuantyrov, Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Following on from Mr. Becht’s visit to Kazakhstan on May 2-4 and President Tokayev’s visit to Paris on November on 29 and 30, 2022, the Minister Delegate and his interlocutors reviewed the main areas of economic cooperation between our two countries and will continue the effort undertaken in recent months to develop future partnerships in the energy transition, water resources management, agriculture, health and critical raw materials.

They reiterated their desire to continue deepening the strategic partnership between France and the Republic of Kazakhstan, which marks its 15th anniversary this year.
